Hello, and welcome to the 2021 season at Charlottetown Tennis Club (CTC)!!

For those new to our club or considering to join, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our Tennis FAMILY! Whether you are at the recreational level, seasoned competitive player, or new to the sport, CTC offers a variety of programs and events to make your season with us a memorable one! For returning members, welcome back!

This will be my 17th season with the club as a coach and 12th season as Head Tennis Professional (Club Pro), making me one of the longest serving coaches in the Scarborough Area. In 2018, I was honoured to receive the  “Coach of the Year” award from Scarborough Tennis Federation for the 2nd year in a row. I was also elected to the Scarborough Tennis Federation Board of Directors as Vice President, Junior Development last Fall. I am excited to take on this role and look forward to contributing to our Tennis community on a regional level.

Changes made to our lesson programming structure resulted in a significant increase in participation at the adult and junior level last season. 50% of our membership participate in group and private lessons, a great way to raise your level of play and in turn enjoy the game more. There are limited slots available and they fill fast so sign up early to reserve your spot!

This season, in addition to some new programs such as Video Analysis, we will be hosting a number of STF regional level and OTA Provincial level junior tournaments. Besides the amazing opportunity it presents for kids at our club to view and play against competitors from all over the province, they provide a source of revenue allowing CTC to expand its programs and outreach in the community, as well as pay for large maintenance projects like court resurfacing. Stay tuned for more information.

For more information on club programming, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to seeing you on the courts this season!
